# US Top 8 public content access

US Top 8 is a free-to-read editorial comparison site. The public article API,
Markdown pages, sitemap and feeds require no authentication. No API key,
registration, OAuth authorization server, bearer token or cookie is needed.

## Discover

Use https://www.ustop8.com/openapi.json for the API contract and
https://www.ustop8.com/docs/ for examples. The public read-only endpoints are
GET /api/v1/articles and GET /api/v1/articles/{slug}.

## Choose public access

Send a normal HTTPS GET request. Do not send passwords, access tokens or
personal data. There are no write operations or private account resources on
this API. CORS is enabled for the same public GET responses.

## Requests and errors

Use q, category, limit and offset as documented. The list has a maximum of
50 items per request. Invalid parameters return HTTP 400; an unknown article
returns HTTP 404. Error responses use application/problem+json with a status,
code and human-readable detail. Methods other than GET, HEAD and OPTIONS
are not supported and return HTTP 405. The API is versioned under /api/v1/.

## Credentials and revocation

There are no credentials to register, exchange or revoke. Stop making public
requests to end an integration. This site does not advertise protected-resource
metadata or an OAuth issuer because it does not operate those services.
